Jeg er uddannet keramiker fra Designskolen Kolding og arbejder som kunstner på tværs af mange udtryksformer: figurer, skulpturer, grafiktryk, T-shirt design, maleri (digitalt og analogt), keramik, lyd og musik, multimedia art, hybrid kunst, filmkunst og musikfilm. Mit arbejde bevæger sig ad mange veje – fra frie fabuleringer til mere konceptuelle greb – nogle gange med humoristisk islæt, men altid forankret i refleksioner om os mennesker, naturen, tiden, det større, det metafysiske, det filosofiske og den frie fantasi.
Min praksis er intuitiv og improvisatorisk, altid på jagt efter essensen af et udtryk –kondenseret til en form, der inviterer både til sanselig oplevelse og stille eftertanke.
For mig er kunst - ligesom livet, en proces. At mening findes både i det mindste og i det største. At skønhed opstår i det uforudsigelige, i det vi ikke kan kontrollere, men kun sanse og være tilstede i.
Jeg ønsker at skabe værker, der ikke blot ses eller høres, men mærkes. Som perler på en snor – øjeblikke af erkendelse og undren, bundet sammen i en strøm af fantasi og refleksion.
Holdt fast i det, vi kalder et værk – i tidens øjeblik.
Dette er en del af min vision – et fragment af mit kunstneriske univers – og jeg er dybt taknemmelig for, at det nu fortsætter sin rejse sammen med dig.

I am a trained ceramicist from Designskolen Kolding and work as an artist across many forms of expression: figures, sculptures, graphic prints, T-shirt design, painting (digital and analog), ceramics, sound and music, multimedia art, hybrid art, film art, and music films.
My work moves along many paths – from free fabulations to more conceptual approaches – sometimes with a humorous touch, but always rooted in reflections on humanity, nature, time, the greater whole, the metaphysical, the philosophical, and the free imagination.
My practice is intuitive and improvisational, always in search of the essence of an expression – condensed into a form that invites both sensory experience and quiet contemplation.
For me, art – like life – is a process.
That meaning exists both in the smallest and in the greatest.
That beauty arises in the unpredictable, in what we cannot control, but can only sense and be present within.
I strive to create works that are not only seen or heard, but felt.
Like pearls on a string – moments of insight and wonder, bound together in a flow of imagination and reflection.
Held fast in what we call a work of art – in the moment of time.
This is part of my vision – a fragment of my artistic universe – and I am deeply grateful that it now continues its journey together with you.

René Olsen (b. 1977) is a Danish visual artist working across digital painting, ceramics, experimental film and sound. His practice explores the relationship between nature, geology, transformation and imagined worlds, creating immersive visual universes inspired by both microscopic and cosmic structures.
Originally trained as a ceramic artist, Olsen has expanded his practice into digital media while maintaining the same fascination with materiality, texture and organic processes. His artworks combine painterly abstraction with experimental image-making, resulting in dreamlike compositions that balance science, nature and imagination.
His work has been exhibited internationally and is represented in museum collections in both Denmark and South Korea.
